Figure out his percentage on the flop.... even if he boats ( 6 non chop outs... 3 4's and 3 8's) the turn he has to dodge half the deck on the river to not chop or lose.

This is why I don't play Omaha hi/lo sir. Im asking a serious question here, is that a proper call on the river with a nut flush?

no, it really isn't at all, all you can beat is a bluff basically, on a paired board you just wait for a better spot when you're sure you have the best hand. These people play this game so bad that it's really not that hard to 1/4 them. Though granted a call like this could be player dependant I suppose, but personally I would just fold and wait for these idiots to make a mistake.

also, judging by the hand that was shown down by extrazz i would guess he knows very little about the game he is playing....or he just figured, hey, 2 bucks, what the fuck, like many at bp.

so while the call on the river isnt great...i think he can show up with worse jacks here sometimes....but i dunno how aggrotarded he was playing.

With my limited understadning of the game, I think pot-control is a key factor to winning or losing over time.

    what happened to pushing edges?

its a high variance game imo, less so at a full table like this, moreso shorthanded which is the big thing with the kids.
i just dont like check calling off my stack. im not saying there arent times for it, but i dont think this is one of them

It is player dependant to an extent, but yeah the river call is a little questionable I think. Too many boat cards for the Jack. Everyone loves the potential wrap hands (J/8/9/10 and the like) so the odds of him not having a boat here are pretty shitty in my opinion (I refuse to type imo in a serious context). 7's full is a distinct possibility too. I don't think an unboated jack is the hand you're possibly beating here, the only thing you are beating here I think is maybe an overpair that picks up a low draw on the turn...something like K/K/3/2, or maybe he makes a weaker flush. This guy's range seems a bit large preflop with that terrible piece of shit hand he was playing with, but probably not large enough for the call on the river.

But then again, I'm pretty bad at Omaha. I'm not Mike "The Omaha Professor" Haluska.
