I like how this thread has evolved from a legitimate issue that has been plaguing BP for sometime to an attack on Franks character. We've all played with Frank before and know he can be an ass at the table, and I think we've pretty much covered that about as in-depth as possible here in this thread.

What hasn't been discussed really is the overall terrible behavior displayed at BP, and the hypocrisy that allows it to continue. Now I guess if Frank is the only reason that people can't enjoy BP, then so be it, but I think there's many more appalling things that occur on a day to day basis. If you ever want to restore BP to the times where it was a much more enjoyable experience, a lot of changes are going to have to be made, and standards are going to have to be set and abide by in order to accomplish this.

Since I haven't been there in over a month, I guess it's hard for me to comment on what has changed, but from what I hear in this thread and from others it has only gotten worse. At one time BP was a great place to come and play cards, have a couple drinks and socialize with some halfway normal and likeable people. Now I'm not so sure...

Yea Dozo that was my original attention then I got anonymously attcaked by one person and I defended myself to a point. That is my biggest problem. I call someone a bad player they respond I respond and so forth til it becomes a shouting match. I just keep going in the heat of the moment til it gets out of hand

Ive played twice last week. The big game is back, and things are getting cleaned up. It is safe to come back into the waters. There are rules and standards in place now.

I'm not sure there's standards high enough to rid BP of the average moron that shows up. Of course, this is more of a problem concerning the human race than anything else I think.

Well its good to hear that something is being done to change things...though I'd be interested in knowing what kind of standards are being enforced.

I can only speak from what I've seen at the "big" game. Since i did play the .25/.50 game last night, and it was still sloppy. There are table rules and ettiquette now enforced on all who play at the big game. things like exposing cards, excessive berating of players, card peeking, and generally other known table rules are being adheared to. I think this is a step in the right direction, and the impact will prob filter down to the other games.

Well it's about time for these things to happen...for a game that's actually supposed to be controlled the last couple time I have played have been the slowest and most aggrevating live sessions I have ever played. Hopefully finally enforcing the rules will speed up play and actually make it more like poker and less like drunken bingo.

Now only if there was someway to regulate who shows up to BP, then at least you could ensure that you wouldn't have to listen to annoying mindless chatter...again a general problem with the evolution of the human race I guess, haha.
