I, too, agree with the BVI. It's early July.... I say the Cubs are in 3rd by August 13. So, dear Cub fans, enjoy the next couple weeks, since we all know you'll crash and burn after that.

As for the Brewers, I was at the game Monday night. They weren't really playing like an aggressive, winning team. They lacked zeal, despite having just signed a "great" pitcher.

I like the Cardinals & Sox for the series.... Red or White still TBD.

Man fans of Wisconsin teams are incredible. Fans of a team that hasnt been to the playoffs in 26 years calling any other team losers is ludicrious. I know the Cubs havent won a World Series in 100 years. When was the last time the Brewers won it? Every so called expert still calls the Cubs the best team in the NL. They are sending 7 players to the All-Star game cuz they suck? The only other team that has that many is the Red Sox (please Jason Varitek and his 221 BA?) I mean even our closer who was called a pussy and washed up by Brewer fans last year made the All-Star team. Hows that closer the Brewers signed for 10 million in the off season doing. If only the Brewers had resigned Cordero they may be in front of "the loveable losers" I will take any bet for any amount of money that the Cubs will not be in 3rd on August 3rd. Or any other time this year. In 3 years when all the talent the Brewers have is gone to free agency and the Brewers are wallowing in 5th place(Thank God for the Pirates) and no one gives a fuck about the Brewers in Wisconsin anymore just like 5 years ago when I moved here I wont have to listen to pathetic Cub haters.

Yes the BRAVES won in 1957. That championship is acredited to the Braves franchise not the Brewers. Look it up. No one remembers who came in 2nd. That was 26 years ago. Until last year when was the last time the Brewers finished over 500? Fielder will be gone Sheets will be gone Sabathia will be gone. Hardy will be gone. Weeks will be gone. Maybe that last one will be a good thing for Brewer fans. Laporta the future is already gone

Ok, yeah it is really sick that the Cubs have 7 all-stars. That is just the lovable-loser hype man. Fukodome should not be there over Carlos Lee. And Aramis should not be there over David Wright. The All-star game is a joke.

As far as the whitesox, they continue to get snubbed. AJ not in is a joke. You are honestly going to tell me that Jason Varitek is more of an all-star than AJ this year?

    Jason Varitek Runs-19 HR-7 RBI-28 AVG-.220

    D. Navarro runs-25 HR-4 RBI-33 AVG-.312

    A. Pierzynski Runs-39 HR-7 RBI-35 AVG-.291

Of these three catchers, two are in tha all-star game. AJ was snubbed. He has 14 more run than Navarro, 20 more than Varitek!!! and he has the most RBIS of the three leading Varitek by 7!! Not to mention, how does any player make an all-star team batting .220!!! AJ is a shade under 300.

    Now for pitching:

    RHP Ervin Santana

SPLITS G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO W L P/GS WHIP BAA ERA
    Season 18 18 2 1 122.1 106 50 48 12 32 112 10 3 107.6 1.13 .231 3.53

    Gavin Flloyd

SPLITS G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO W L P/GS WHIP BAA ERA
    Season 17 17 1 0 109.0 82 53 39 15 40 73 10 4 96.6 1.12 .207 3.22

    John Danks

SPLITS G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO W L P/GS WHIP BAA ERA
    Season 18 18 0 0 107.0 94 31 30 7 31 86 6 4 96.2 1.17 .234 2.52

You could easily take Danks or Flloyd over Santana here. Given that The angels have a pitcher in already, and the WhiteSox rotation has outperformed any team in the AL thus far, they deserve to be recoginzed with an all-star. "snubbed"

Good thing the Cubs play on national tv alot so the voters get to see them alot. Ramirez is Ron Santo of this generation a very very good under appreciated 3rd baseman. Wright is good and I would only take him over ARam cuz he is younger. Who deserves is over Fukudome? Griffey? Please. Over the hill. What a waste of a career the last 6 years. He should have like 800 HRs by now. Decent year but Fukudome does so many things you dont see in a box score.

we were talking about wisconsin fans if im correct. it doesnt matter who the 57 championship was acredited to, it was won by a wisconsin team. my dad went to a ton of games back in the 50s, he isnt a fucking braves fan. hes a brewers fan. hes a wisconsin fan. it was a wisconsin team.

Frank - I already told you who should be there over Fukodome. Actaully i think you can make a case for a few guys over him. But this is the strongest.

    Carlos Lee - runs-46 HR-21 rbi-72 avg-.293

    Fuck you do me - runs-59 HR-7 RBI-36 avg-.282

3x the HRs and double the rbis? Don't stroke me off with the outside the box scores value ok. The value is the baby blue uniform and that he is a rookie. The all-star game is a popularity contest, and not about rewarding the best performances. Its a boring game anyhow.

Areaman- By your twisted logic, Cubs fans can claim the Whitesox world series of 05 no? They are in fact chicago fans, and a chicago team won. Mets fans can claim all those yankees titles. Gosh, i dunno how you come up with your reasoning sometimes!!!

.....well, for one, the braves and brewers played in the same stadium, and another, they never coexisted. soooooo yeah. its totally twisted logic. i cant even fathom how i came up with it now that youve pointed out my greivous error. way to be on the ball scuba.
