Posted By: areamannow that i think about it, i remember all those fans of the cleveland browns totally giving up and becoming ravens fans back when they took the browns away from cleveland....
i guess you are right, especially since there are so many old timers that still LOOOOOOOOOOVE the braves around milwaukee...

wait a minute...NO THERE FUCKING AINT!
While I agree with your disagreement with Scuba the Browns lost their original team but were allowed to keep their history and eveything acredited to the original team when Cleveland got the new Browns. The same can not be said for the Milwaukee franchise. I dont expect anyone in Milwaukee or Wisconsin to be fans of the Braves. Just like I dont expect anyone in Boston to be a Braves fan since thats where they moved to MIlwaukee from. My original statement still stands that the Brewers have never won a World Series. I have never seen a team ever that celebrated the 25th anniversary of coming in 2nd place. Well until last year. Way to go Brewers We're #2 25 years ago. I mean 100 years since winning the World Series is a huge accomplishment. You would think in that long a time you would win something by accident. You dont see all kinds of ceremonies at Wrigley commerating this fact. Nor were there any 25th anniversary shit in 1970 commemorating losing the 1945 WS. Or 50th annivesary or 60th anniversary. Way to make the playoffs once in your storied history Brewers. This Buds for you

OK - I can't get this ridiculous site to work, and I don't have time to learn java script edit commands, so I'll go the old fashing route....

Frank said: "Man fans of Wisconsin teams are incredible. Fans of a team that hasnt been to the playoffs in 26 years calling any other team losers is ludicrious. "

Just because I make one silly comment about the Cubs falling apart, doesn't make me a fan of Wisconsin teams. Had you not gone all ape shit defending your team and taken a second to read a bit closer, I also rip on the Brewers. I called the other teams losers because historically they have been. I can say this because my team has won 10 World Series - the majority of which were after either the Cubs or Brewers (or any related franchise) made it deep into the post season.

Well if you call that ape shit Im not sure how to respond so you dont think Im going all crazy. BVI called the Cubs losers. A Brewers fan calling the Cubs losers is crazy. Im guessing you are a Cardinals fan then. WOW I give the Cardinals credit crappy team good manager. Overrated manager but a good manager. I didnt expect them to stick around this long but they are done. Only serious comepetion Cubs have in that division is the Brewers. The comment about the Cubs being in 3rd by August 3rd wasnt only silly is was assinine. Wait is this sunshine?

Yes, a Brewers fan called the Cubs losers (not this year, mind you). I'm pretty sure in the same post I called the Brewers losers as well. Why is this such a complicated notion that more than one team can be a loser? It's just this weird school of argument theory that if someone who likes one team says one thing about another team, it is inferred that he thinks the opposite about his own team.

If the Packers and Bears both went 0-16 this year, would it not be acceptable for the me to say...well, the Bears suck this year? Of course it would. I am a pretty big Brewers/Packer fan (not so much Badgers) but I'd consider myself a pretty realistic fan. The heart of the point I was making originally Frank, was that the Brewers aren't beloved by the whole country when they are doing shitty, but for some reason it seems like the Cubs are, it's fucking weird, and for some reason I find it kinda sad. It also makes me dislike the cubs more than I already do. Every dumb fuck in the world seems to have a Yankees hat, and that makes sense, because the Yankees have a lot of history and they have won a lot of championships. (those pink Yankee hats make me want to commit murder) But in order for such a large group of people in this country to be Cubs fans is just beyond explanation to me. Someone will twist this into me saying that being a fair weather fan is okay, which is not the point of this at all. I just don't get it.

Will someone just make sense out of this nation's love affair with the Chicago Cubs? And yeah, the cubs are losers in my opinion. What the Brewers have done in comparision has little to no effect on that statement really.

But yes Frank, I agree, it's a two horse race in the central...and the Cubs seem to have the better team right now, and probably the best team in the national league. F the Cardinals.

Ben Its pretty simple while for most of the past century the Cubs have sucked but also for a portion of that century their games are televised on WGN a cable superstation broadcast all over the country. Also their games are brodcast on the radio on WGN a blow tourch of a station that can be heard in like 12 states and Canada or something like that. As a kid growing up in Chicago the Cubs played during the day so I could actually watch the games and the White Sox played at night so I couldnt watch their games. Also going to a Cubs game was and for the most part was much safer. Plus if you go to Wrigley it is Mardi Gras all season with about 100 bars in a 10 mile radius of the park. So even people that dont really give a shit about baseball love going to Wrigley. I took an ex girlfriend to Wrigley awhile back and she wanted a pink Cubs hat. I wanted to puke but I also didnt want to get cut off so I bought it for her. Thanks for the props on the Cubs. I feel the same hatred for the Yankees and RedSox whos games seem to be on ESPN everyday. East Coast bias. F the East Coast.Midwest is the shit

WOW Ben is speechless? Well my work is done. BTW The Bears and Packers can not both go 0-16 0-14-2 maybe but not 0-16
