Well at least drunk Sox fans dont attack their own team:

    CUB FAN IDIOT
  2.
BTW - Here is ESPN's latest power rankings. WHITESOX #1 beeyatches!

1 (2) White Sox 53-38 Lefty John Danks has been exceptional during his last five starts: 2-0, 1.11 ERA, eight walks and 31 strikeouts.
2 (1) Rays 55-36 Cause for concern? During their four-game skid, the Rays have been outscored 27-7.
3 (8) Cubs 55-37 Newly acquired right-hander Rich Harden: a second ace or the second coming of Mark Prior?
4 (3) Angels 55-37 The Angels have three pitchers in the top 20 in ERA in the AL. It'd be four if John Lackey had enough innings to qualify.
5 (6) Phillies 50-43 Ryan Howard is on pace for 47 home runs, 145 RBIs and 213 strikeouts.

After doing some research before my last post. I found some things I had forgotten about happening at Wrigley. Like to time the fan rushed Randy Myers after giving up a home run. Bad idea Myers clocked him and held him down til security got there. Or the drunk idiot on the right field wall that decided he wanted Chad Kreuters hat and grabbed it off his head while he was sitting in the bullpen. Touching off a melee in the stands between Cub fans and Dodger players. And after looking up some fan violence and reading I realized in all due respect Scuba there are drunken idiots in every stadium in the country. Hell in the world. Look at soccer. Sox fans just bring up the drunken idiots at Wrigley because they need some reason the bash the Cubs.

Holy shit Scuba You cant actually tell me that you actually BELIEVE the White Sox are the best team in baseball? Any list without the RedSox in the top 5 is bogus anyway. Just need Harden to stay healty for 3 months. Plus Dusty has moved on and he wont be allowed to let Harden throw 150 pitches every 4 days like he did with Prior and Wood

I believe Frank that the Power rankings are intended to reflect the current state of the league. Not overall who is the best, or who may be the best in october. Since the Whitesox had swept the cubs series, they have been playing great baseball. So I certainly am not going to argue with any writers from ESPN that put them on top for now. I might agree that overall Boston and the Cubs could be better teams than the Whitesox. But that doesnt concern me, all that does is whether the Whitesox win the series or not.

Ok well said. I think power rankings tend to be a bit of a joke. I think that at any one time any team ranked in the top 6 or 7 in the power rankings can have cases made for why they are the best team. I would rather have the Cubs ranked 20th all year and then win the World Series. Thats what matters. Hell Id be happy if they just MADE the World Series

Oh yeah? Ok, then i give you this scenario -- CUBs leading whitesox 3-1 in the world series. Then the infamous "hotdog vendor" scandal. When a WhiteSox hotdog Vendor yells "HOTDAWG, GET YOUR HOTDAWG!" so loudly, it causes Fukodome to drop a routine fly ball. The Sox score 2 runs on the error and win the game. They go on to win the next 2 games, winning the series. And we get to hear about the curse all over again for another 100 years.

Still happy just to make it there? :)

Yes I would be happy to see the Cubs make the World Series. I am not as lucky to have seen my team in a World Series as you are. Once they make it I want them to win but the first step is just making it. After huge disappointments in 84 and 03 it would be a victory just to be there. Dennis Leary, who is a huge Red Sox fan, said after they won in 04 after the initial jublilation wore off he had a feeling of now what? That while he is still a Red Sox fan it just didnt seem the same. Not to say I dont want them to win because trying to be unbiased but my feeling is they are the best team top to bottom in baseball. If they didnt win it this year it would be a bigger disappointment then 84 or 03.

Posted By: CloudydayYes Frank- it is indeed sunshine.... someone hi-jacked my login, so I went with the obvious.

I know, I know. Girls shouldn't discuss sports, as we don't know WTF we're talking about. Sorry to intrude.
Michelle you are welcome in any discusions about sports. You are knowledable and add quite a bit to the topic. You arent one of those girls that just like their team cuz like Rick Ankiel is so cute or whatever. But with you being a fan of one of my two most hated teams I will shoot down your opinion just like I would do if you were a guy. It has nothing to do with your gender
