All the tigers have is paper potential. that doesnt mean a whole lot on the field. The secret to winning at baseball isnt a mystery. Its PITCHING. They dont have enough to over come the hole they put themselves in. I dont think you realize the numbers of what you are predicting are. the tigeras have to go somewhere around 41-23 to have a shot to win the division. And the Sox have to do worse than 35-30. That only 5 games over .500 for the rest fo the season. is it possible? sure. But not very likely. the sox look to be for real, they would need a meltdown to lose the division to the tigers.

How can a team with a 1/2 game lead in a weak divison be the real deal? The White Sox have an inconsistant offense excellent pitching. The Tigers dug themselves in a huge hole early in the season but they are making a huge push just to get to 500. I wont pick against Jim Leyland. Can you say 2007 NY Mets?

Ah Frank. You are funny man. "weak division". This arguement never holds much weight. The AL central was picked to be the strongest divison in baseball a few short months ago. The NL central was agreed to be the weakest. The NL west was suppose to be strong this year. All that really matters sir is the play on the field. The Sox have been up and down, but this is baseball, who hasn't? The important point is something you have not argued with me about, picthing. Sox pitching has been stellar thus far.

"The White Sox have an inconsistant offense excellent pitching. " Does this statement remind you of any other team in the last 10 years? I recall you hating on the 2005 Sox as well, probably said something very similiar to this. You wanted to bet me the Whitesox wouldnt make it out of the first round against Boston that year. Did the Whitesox not dominate the playoffs? They had a weak offesne, no .300 hitters on the squad, and they DOMINATED the post season. Do we not learn anything from this lesson frank? PITCHING, PITCHING, PITCHING!! The GMs know this, its why they way overpay for any available pitching. The last time the HOF Yankees offense won any title? When they had Clemens, Petitte, Mussina heading up the staff. It isnt hard to understand Frank. The Whitesox will fail, if their young pitching does not hold up.

As it stands now, as "inconsistent" as the Sox offense is they are 6th in runs in the league, 8th in average, 3rd in HRs. but whats more important is the pitching. 2nd in the league for ERA, ahead of the Cubs. They look solid to me, you need to take the hater glasses off. I mean, you didnt see a solid MLB team sweep the cubs in US cellular? honestly?

I dont hate the White Sox. Just their kool aid drinking fans. Didnt the Cubs sweep the Sox at Wrigley? You didnt mention that. Just like in 2006 when the Bears went to the Super Bowl and all the Packer fans said who cares. What happened the last time the Bears and Packers played? Like a meaningless game mattered to a team that went to the SuperBowl. I have heard you call the NL central a weak division. Are you arguing against a statement you have made? Whatever fits your argument at the time? Actually in 05 I think I wanted to bet you that the Sox wouldnt make the playoffs. Id make the same bet this year
