The best movie of all time isnt in your top ten? Heath Ledger gets 2 oscars? Best supporting and what? Dumbass for creating his greatest role then dying? He gas never been that great an actor. So much attention becasue he died. Poor Christian Bale. Much better actor and no attention from this movie cuz hes still alive

in fact, ill even put money on the fact that heath ledger gets more than 2 oscars
im not going to sit here and compare it to the godfather or anything, and i woudlnt even put it in my top 10 favorites, but it was pretty fucking good, the acting was great, the visuals were awesome....its the type of movie that people get nuts about...theres just no way this doesnt win a ton of oscars. -

frank, i bet you didnt even see the movie!! Why dont you watch it first, then bash it. Then at least you can "sound" like you know what your talking about. Heath ledger proved he's a great actor in this movie. Christian Bale had a great performance in his own right, but he is overshadowed not because Heath died, but heath was that fraking good! You wanted him to be in every damn scene. Stop being such a hater frank and just watch the damn movie. Its too early for me to say this was my favorite of all time, but im putting it in top 5 for sure, with good odds it is my number 1 movie!! -

Heath Ledger was a pretty damn awesome talent, and that's really the end of that argument for me. A lot of people just think of him from "Knight's Tale" and "The Patriot" and shit like that, which is not really a fair representation of his work.
Watch the movie "Candy" if you need it spelled out any clearer, came out pretty recently to DVD. And his joker makes Jack Nicholson's Joker look pathetic, and that's saying something. Watch the movie. I'm not saying it's a guarenteed Oscar, but it's pretty damn special. -

Yeah, he probably won't be nominated for more than one category so I think you're right on that front. His death really has overshadowed some things with this movie, but his performance would have been off the charts regardless. Even Christian Bale was quoted as saying, before Heath even died mind you, that it was the best performance that he'd ever personally been around. -

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.
As for the imdb movie rating system, I have to admit that I threw that out there as a troll. That system is hopelessly flawed. From what I understand, a bunch of TDK fanboys collectively voted Godfather down just to get TDK to the top. Who cares anyway? We all know the kind of garbage that can manage to become widely loved and highly rated by the teeming masses of droolers.

Well I have to reconsider now. Areaman is probably right after all. There is a good chance Heath Ledger could be nominated and win Oscars for future movies he is in. -

Christian Bale got a little attention for the crap he caused to get thrown in jail in England. Did any one else read that story and have a WTF moment?
For Heath Ledger, I hope he does win an Oscar or two for the performance because I do believe it was his one and only best performance ever. I really couldn't stand him in any of the other movies he was in. But I do agree he was the best Joker (comparing to Jack Nicholson). But they did need to show more of the violence. I mean come on they didn't show how exactly killed the crime boss (but we can guess) and how the three guys ended up after the "auditions for the Joker Gang." I know they had to cut it out for the PG-13 rating but come on. Make it R and make the rest of us happy. I really didn't like seeing the moving with 3 8 year olds sitting behind me crying and complaining. LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME. -

Frank Gorman was the best Joker ever LOL If memory serves me right wasnt Batman originally created for kids? Make the movie R and cut out the kids? Cut out the marketing of toys? Cut out the money of the parents that dont really come to see the movie other than to take their kids? I know I am not that smart.
