So total today, I walked away with about $1300. That's the best I've done in a day so far, and I consider myself fairly new. I won $500 on the 1/2 table at Ho Chunk, which I might add, was a PIECE OF CAKE. I also took 2nd place at the VFW for $600 tonight, and won the "last man standing" bet for $150 (chopped with another player).

Overall, what is everyone's experience at Ho Chunk? I think it's the easiest money in the world. The players literally suck and you can read their cards like they were plastered on their forehead. On the other hand, the VFW tourney is a great tourney to play and I had a great time playing with everyone.

Just curious what people's opinions are on Ho Chunk's 1/2 no limit tables... and also, does anyone play the 1pm Tuesday tourney at Ho Chunk? How is that?

Posted By: DodgingDonkeysHo Chunk is a soft game. Ive only played it twice though, won a minimal amount both times. But i dont think it would be very hard making a good profit there consistently.


VFW is a horrible tourney sir. Ive played it like 3 times. Made 4th once, bubbled the other two. But it turns into shove or fold with two tables left!! Thats bingo, not poker.

I love playing Hochunk. Especially during the summer. All these dudes that have spent all day at the waterparks and need to get away from the wife and kids. They tend to come and give their money away. Then shake your hand and walk away after you take all their money

Well, there weren't any extra cards in the deck at the final table... and I came back from short stack to win it all. Probably the easiest tournament around.

I congradulate you on your recent sucsess but since your new i will warn you you will come down to earth so be prepared and dont get too cocky. Its the peril of this game but again congrats. Do they still play the vfw tourney as 15 min blinds? That tourney sucked imo but its been a couple years since i played it.

I havent played for about 9 months, but i doubt they have changed the blind structure. Still sucked. Push or fold when down to two tables.
