Dozo, Hey, this is Frank, the guy who shoved against your K10 raise, with 99. I think you were close, but a little off in your percentages.
Pokerstove calls me a 55 to 45 favorite with our actual hands, but a 66 to 33 favorite with my likely range against your actual hand (assuming I do it with any pair, big aces, big kings). I don't think you were getting two to one from the pot -- more like 3 to 2. But yeah, it was closer than I would have figured, even considering that I was playing too tight!
Thanks for explaining why you did it -- now all I gotta do is figure out how to exploit your math illiteracy (hahaha rofling on the floor loling). Seriously, though, good job with the win.
Yeah I pokertoved it this morning too, and came up with the same numbers...if I remember correctly I was calling 7500 into 12600, so I needed to have around 36.9% equity in the pot, i had about 33% so if wasn't quite the right price, but considering my chip stack I don't mind getting it in a bit behind here to try and bust a player and get more chips though.
Either way, it was a pleasure playing with you and it's nice that somebody actually cares a bit about hand analysis on this forum. See ya around.
the only justifiable reason to make the call is so that people dont see him raise folding and then they think they can get away with shipping any two cards in on him.
if your ship is 8k or so, its an easy call, but you had just enough to keep him out.
Well I will agree it was a little loose, but really would you like me to post the stove calculations? I'm barely not getting the right price, and considering the fact I have the chance to bust my most formidable opponent at the table, and I have a big stack....its real close. And considering I was running real good that helped too.
lol, what range do you put him on? like i said, 77+ and AQ+ imo, i think most people flat AJ at bp there because they suck. im not sure who this guy is but im not sold on him being good just because you tell me hes not terrible based on an hours worth of play, no offense guy.
