I doubt that BP is truly dead at this point. We cant allow the Church Ladies of the world to ruin a great hobby for the rest of us adults that have the ability to decide what past-times and hobbies are destructive to our own well-being. I think whomever has his mind set to rub out poker from WI really must HATE America, since they are doing their part to make this country less free, even as our sons, daughters, friends, and neighbors give up their lives in the ideal of preserving that freedom. Would said person give up their lives for our freedom, no way. They live to steal freedoms away from us, perhaps because they feel superior to us, and believe that we are not capable of making our own judgement. America is not the ideal it was meant to be. A place where a person can be free to worship what they want, sleep with who they want, marry who they want, and partake in any hobby they want. As long as none of the above endanger anyone else, those that are in authority should not strive to take these rights away, but perhaps strive in education, prevention, and help when it is needed. We dont need big brother, but we need an Uncle Sam that looks out for us, without opressing us!! Apparently the prohibition period has taught these mightier than thou aristocrats nothing!

Okay, enough with my soap box. Incase BP is out of commision for an extended period of time, I would like to take this time to thank Scotty for giving us a big part of our lives for several years. Some people at BP spent a majority of their week nights enjoying the fruits of Scott's labor. I for one, personally appreciate Badger Poker. It was a great setting, and I met many friends there.

So Scott thanks, and I know how much BP has meant to you and your family as well. And I am sure you know how much many of us have loved it as well. But that does not mean we shouldn't express that as often as we can.

To other BPers reading this, I think we should all get to toegether, collect some money, and throw an appreciation party. I don't have any details in mind, whether it be a banquet, or whether poker will even be involved or not, I think something to show our appreciation is in order. this isnt a "goodbye" party, but it is a good time to show some appreciation to Scott and his family. Anyone have better ideas for doing this?

Well, it is a business - maybe someone or group would like to buy it from him or become a partner?

The issue is not business related. i will let Scott release the exact details, if he chooses to. Just for now, BP is suspended.

scott had posted a, for lack of a better term "rant", on the site yesterday, explaining pretty well what's going on with BP, and has since taken it down. If you didn't see it, ill just say this; I believe Scott still wants to run badgerpoker & is fully able to do so as he has been doing for years.

    I'll say no more.

Scott probably doesnt want to sound too negative about the prospects for BP in the future. So to find the right approach in making an official announcement may take time.
