Posted By: DodgingDonkeysAreaman. You are bad. You smooth call the flop worreid you are beat, but then stack-off on the turn?

no, i was pretty sure the guys turn bet told me i was ahead

unfortunatly there were 2 people behind me

Ahh, here we go with those online reads again. The guy led at his second street, but because it was only a small increase in his flop bet, you KNEW you were ahead. But werent afraid of the player calling behind you.

Yes, I agree that 22 and 55 are unlikely holdings, and with the same logic, so are j-2 and j-5. It is unlikely you are beat on the flop. So bet hard. Your hand is most likely best now, but very beatable on future streets. By the way, I see people with strong hands make small increase on every street as well. beware the "reads".

I just find it funny that on the flop, you are concerned that a randomly blind hand is beating you. But on the turn, when the same hand fires again, and you had a smooth caller behind you, that now you are willing to stack off.

you dont think KJ, QJ, JT, even AJ overcall here too? i think those are definite possibilities, i didnt see how the 3 could effect my hand whatsoever.

also with about 8 dollars invested, im not folding for 13 more into a pot of 50 with what i beleive to likely be the best holding.
